Yeah there were definitely some good ones, but they didn't last that long, at least in the modern era as you point- more often than not it felt like we had question marks in the goal.

Need to remember when Tiny Thompson started out a regular season was only 44 games. 48 games when Brimsek came into the league. Of course, they usually played every game.

Really bad for the Bruins. Rask struggled after he took the shot from Josi to the head. Even when Rask returns I would be skeptical the moment he returns.

Bruins’ Tuukka Rask leaves game with concussion after nasty collision - The Boston Globe

Bruins goaltender Tuukka Rask was helped off the ice and to the dressing room after suffering a concussion during Saturday’s game against the New York Rangers at TD Garden.
Rask was shaken up with 1:28 left in the first period, on a high-speed collision with Rangers winger Filip Chytil.
Chytil, a speedy 19-year-old rookie, plowed into the goalie when he scored to tie the game at 1. On an end-to-end rush, Chytil had a full head of steam as he headed toward the crease, made a quick deke in tight and roofed a shot on Rask. Bruins defenseman Charlie McAvoy bumped Chytil and sent him airborne. Chytil’s hip and rear hit Rask in the face, sending the netminder tumbling backward. Rask’s head, the principal point of contact, jolted backward. It may have hit the iron as he fell.

Hope it isn't as big as it looks. He was playing so well and going for the wins record too. Ah well, what's happened's happened, wish him the best in his recovery.

Congrats Tuukka! All time franchise leader for wins for a team that is almost 100 years old is impressive.

What a way to get the record.:thumbu:

A shutout
Against the Defending Stanley-cup Champs
Against a team who the Bruins had lost 14 straight too.
Halting a 3 game losing streak
Beating Branden Holtby

Well done Tuuuukka!

To be first in wins when the competition is the likes of Thompson, Brimsek, and Cheevers (in terms of comparable number of games played with Boston) is pretty darn impressive. Oh, and all three of those players are in the Hall of Fame. The parity in the league is really good now, which to me means something as well. Really lucky to have Rask on the Bs, and he is worth the money he is being paid.
