Fixed....except I'm not sure what happened with Nuge and Drai's point totals.

Injuries will reduce some of these numbers but I think this team's gonna score some goals. They'll be top 10 in goals for again and top 5 in short handed goals for this year.
TSN has Nuge missing 10games this season already in their stats prediction. Reputation.

People complain about all these polls and predictions all the time, but continue to post them. I don't get it either
This was also the same company that had some people predicting the Oilers as Cup champs last year.

After how last season went, it's hard to blame anyone for being down on this team. Respect will return to the Oilers when they earn it.

Looking at those TSN stats predictions...

Here's the aggregate scoring point totals for each team comprised of all the players in their list of the top 412 NHL scorers:

That seems reasonable to me outside of Carolina being so high and maybe Chicago being too low. Don't know why this got some of you triggered.

The defending Stanley Cup Champions, who are built around their forwards, shouldn't be 17th. That doesn't make much sense. I personally think Edmonton should be higher as well. Toronto probably shouldn't be first either.

Well, no list is perfect. I'm just saying that it's reasonable all things considered.
The Leafs could realistically lead the league in scoring, the Oilers are a middle of the road offense so that's a fair projection. The Caps might be a little low, I'd agree with that, but they aren't really a scoring juggernaut.

The Caps were ninth last season in GF. They also only had three 20+ goal scorers. factor in a Cup hangover and I think it is fair to expect a slump. Edmonton could be a touch higher if the PP gets its **** together, but again, there's no real scoring depth here. Ans Toronto was already one of the best offensive teams in the league and they added Tavares.

Toronto May get that many points but with their defense they will give up many more than 670.

Gone
Bozak 11 - 32 - 43
Van Riemsdyk 36 - 18 - 54
Added
Tavares 37- 47 - 84
Not signed
Nylander 20-41-61

it's not outside the realm of possibility, but I don't want to hear they're going to put up more while they have some hills to climb

Sounds like your a TML fanboy . Going by all the bashing you do of the Oilers I say it is a fore gone conclusion .

If Matthews plays close to a full season you can expect another 20 points from him. Marner has room to grow as well.

I think they'll have a decent team, but closer to a bubble team than a Division winner IMO

that defense leave little to be desired, even if they get repeat career years...especially with Schmidt out for 20 games
Pretty much this. They also need Fleury to play well again too.
