to be fair to KD who knows what the league will give up for AA but he's certainly worth a mid round pick...the same league wouldn't trade an asset for Strome then he got a 25m contract 6 months later, lots of things don't make sense in the NHL so KD can only get what ppl offer

And the Caps care most about getting Ovi the goal record. I hope you're right and somebody wants Athanasiou. I just don't think anyone does.

Strome is there to feed OV for the goal chase, not to win.

I looked around to see if there were any cap dumps like Zaitsev teams were looking to move, but I didn’t find much. Maybe Josh Bailey? Not sure if anyone has noticed anybody who could be moved like that.
