Conacher is missing from practice, healthy, and is apparently not waiver exempt. Could a trade be brewing?

Maintenance day for Conacher. He should be available vs Leafs.

I'm not sure why he needs a full maintenance day. All they have to do is break out the big key and give it a few turns, and he'll be good to go.

Yeah, I'm sure there are lots of top 4 D making 800k per year to make the dollar in dollar out trade scenario work.

In what world do you live in to believe that we will get a top 4 for Conacher..

well ladies....my point had more to do with that being our biggest need and less to do with the laughable thought that at this point conacher on his own would be worth a top 4 d...........simply stating if were working on any trade it had etter be for that.....

We have Cap problems. Quincey is our whipping boy, but still playing 20 min a night.
Any interest?

If no… what D man are you looking for. (realize you can have Quincey as a rental for the rest of the year for almost nothing, and if you don't resign him.. whatever)… its just money at this point.

On our team however, we HAVE to fire someone, because of money, and Quincey's contract is just too juicy.

We are not in a position to solve anyone else's cap problems. A dollar in has to be matched by a dollar out.

i only wanna get rid of phillips and gryba and just bring in useful guys while keeping our prospects/young guys.

Yeah, those two alone would make a huge difference. Even if we could just get rid of cement-skates (phillips), we'd be laughing. That guy is being used in roles he has no business playing like the PK.

Why doesn't that make it good for us? How many #1 centers get 70+ points a season?

i think bobby ryan said it quit well at the start of the season when asked about his play, he said he wants to be offensive but also be defensively responsible, "if your scoring 50 goals and your a minus 10 then what are you really doing out their?" it was something similar to that
