I'd say switch Gaborik for a dman, any good D fa's? Or trade for one.

Keep Smith, dump Greening, Kassian & Condra. Promote Hoffman, Stone & Da Costa. Let Corvo & Phillips walk.

Before getting called up, Ceci and Boro were the top pair D in Bingo.
Petry is like Methot and would be good to cover Wiercioch when he goes on the rush.
what you say still doesn't inspire confidence, but in your defense, you created a #1 line and with cheap mid-budget spending. I think 61m will be bottom 10 spending next year.

That'd be cool for a year and then we'd have to re-sign a ton of our UFAs

Vanek won't be signing in Ottawa for any amount of money. Lehner needs to be the starter. He's not a backup and another year of sitting on the bench will only cause him to regress further. Play him or trade him.

lehner needs to learn how to be a consistant player like many young goalies have playing as a backup (Rask Bernier Price)

you are just making excuses for him

Carey Price has been the Montreal starter beginning his first year out of Junior. He has played over 50% of the games in every season since turning pro. Goalies improve by playing not by sitting.

actually in 09-10 Halak took over cause Price was widely inconsistant which is normal for young goalies which was prices 2nd year. His first year in nets wasnt that good

my point is better shown with bernier and rask though both look awesome so far and both started as a backup to a better goalie

Lehner has played 23 games so far this year which is good for a player of his age but he isnt ready yet

And my point is better shown with Patrick Roy and Martin Brodeur. I believe Lehner was capable of being an NHL starter two years ago but he's been rotting on the bench only getting a real shot during the Anderson injury. He needs to play regularly. We're not winning anything with Anderson and we're not exactly endearing Lehner to the Sens organization.
