Wonder if the Habs are looking for someone good on faceoffs.

Here's Nathan Beaulieu on the possibility he could be traded tomorrow. Refreshingly honest and very interesting.

The Habs blueline gets a lot slower if they move him in my opinion.

Love his game since Julien took over. He's playing like a good top 4. Gotta give to get and ultimately...I think he's a piece we could give up that won't bite us in the future. Would love to hang onto him though.

Bergevin made trades for two of the biggest names in past deadlines (Vanek & Petry) and already made two trades in the last two days, I don't know why some of you insist on acting like the guy is constantly asleep at the wheel.

Say what you want about the moves themselves but he is active as far as GMs go.

Don't forgot last year's deadline move as well:
Weise & Fleischmann for Danault and a 2018 2nd

Plus he's picked up some useful plugs in the past like Mitchell, Flynn, and Weaver

Yes, Duchene is good on face-offs.

he's been among the best faceoffs men in the nhl for a while now. The best this year

If winning faceoffs is a concern...well you can't go wrong with Duchene that's for sure

Our biggest issue on the PP is winning o-zone faceoffs, Galchenyuk isn't good on draws and you don't wanna put Danault on your 1st PP wave just so he can try to win a face-off.

Adding a great offensive player whos good on draws would do wonders for our PP.

It would get slower but if we can drastically improve our forward group it's a trade off we have to make. I think our slower defense won't be a huge problem in the playoffs if we play a physical game and we have Sergachev coming soon.

Hansen to Sharks

Gave up a pretty decent prospect to get him too...wonder how many here would be happy with Scherbak & cond'l 4th for Hansen?

That said Hansen is signed for next year too so not purely a rental.

Edit: the 4th becomes a 1st if the Sharks win the Cup too, wow

Picked up Benn, Davidson, and Ott. That's a lot of grind and physicality.

After that Hansen trade, if the Habs are in on Vrbata the price is going to be ****ing ridiculous most likely.

EDIT - forgot Hansen has a year left.
