We're obviously not going to do any damage in the playoffs, assuming we make it.

So NOW is the time to trade Andrei Markov if he's not coming back next season. Teams like LA and Washington would likely love to get their hands on him.

I'm not saying we'd get this much, but how on earth could you turn down something like Andre Burakovsky & a 1st or 2nd rounder?

You expected more for MacDonald? This is his only good season.. Markov has an entire career of excellence

Hmm, this is maybe MacDonald's worst season, isn't it? Anyway, he has been very stable in the past, despite always being a little overutilized on thin Isles' teams. But I would have expected a 1st for him, easy. So far, the buyers seem to be getting pretty good deals, for a change. Or at least, more "sane" deals for the 20-ish games they are renting.

Like I said in another thread

I think that Bergevin wont sacrifice future for a rental player so he should go for a low risk high reward move.

Id trade for Gaborik

His value is low at the moment and if he could stay healthy for a playoff run it could pay off.
