I don't think under any circumstances we were/are going to trade Phaneuf without retaining salary as much as management was not willing to before.

I wouldn't be surprised if the teams interested said that even in the summer we won't deal without salary retained.

Dreger reported this out of the gate at 8:05AM this morning.

The hang up is one prospects. I bet its Larkin. Or maybe Mantha. But Larkin fits our needs more than any prospect we are dealing with.

No way does Detriot give up Mantha for Phaneuf. That's the last type of deal detroit would make.
