I realize acquiring Ladd is highly unlikely, but some of the other moves have some merit. The Rangers could use Neil in the rugged Eastern Conference, especially against the big bad Bruins. And the Coyotes could definitely use some help up front and would probably deal from a position of strength, defence. Michalek isn't the messiah or anything, but the 2nd round pick would help balance the risk factor when rolling the dice with MM.

Stone as a rookie has two less goals then michalek in less games. So that doesnt help them offensively. Miller is a good first round pick i doubt the rangers trade him for a depth player.

Josi is the only one of those I'm interested in. The rest are sideways moves at best. Vrbata would be okay, but he's a free agent at the end of the year and has never done anything outside Phoenix.

We have a gluttony of bottom 6 forwards and 5-6 defenseman already.

a) firing the coach and assistant coaches (save $ by going behind the bench)
