Andreas Johnson.

Kid is only 20 and is in the top 5 of the SHL scoring race and climbing.

This one is really wide open. There's a lot of guys who could reasonably go here, Dermott, Timashov, Johnson, Bracco, Leipsic, and others. I went with Dermott though.

They might not have quite the upside as some remaining but I'd put much better odds behind Leivo and Leipsic having a longer NHL career than anyone else. I'm voting Leispic here - his game should translate to the NHL very well.

Timashov for me. High end skill player. Future set up machine with the triggermen we have coming. Very important prospect to develop right also. He is right up there with Marner and Nylander skill wise.

This is where it gets interesting. I voted Johnson, I tend to vote guys higher if they've played pro hockey unless they have sky high potential like Marner. Timashov and Dermott were the tempting picks here but for me Johnson has been impressive further through development.

I almost went with Timashov, but opted with Johnson due to his SHL experience.

I find these rankings very arbitrary due to ranking players based on unknown factors. Is it purely based on skill or their ability to translate to the NHL level?

tough one but I went Timashov considering how impressive he was at camp before his 19th birthday.

first round that has been challenging IMO

Though it's wide open I went with Leivo. Good year this year, already receiving NHL time so it's pretty clear he's close if not ready. I see middle 6 potential from him.

Yeah I went with AJ ... He's gotten some stellar post draft numbers for the SHL

IMO he's on par with Brown and Kapanen at the moment.

Johnson, the way he's tearing up the SHL is impressive.

Dermott and Timashov were close though, they'll be the next 2.
