Kadri felt he had to do something. He was lone ranger on that team and had no support. No thugs to do the job. Things escalated and he made mistakes. But he tried. He matured and now he is a successful playoff performer... with Colorado. And floater and renowned point hunter Rielly is still here. Great management.
Terrible take.
We are #1 in the league.
Kadri led to Kerfoot and Brodie, which I think is a team upgrade.
The 1 mil in cap difference between Kerfoot and Kadri is probably the difference between signing Brodie and settling for someone (don't know if anyone even went for under 4 mil that is a good D in free agency).
Rielly is also the #1D for the best defense in the division.
Colorado is also currently saddled between Minnesota and LA for 3rd in their division (arguably the weakest division).
Kadri clearly isn't a player that puts a team over the edge, so if the biggest complaint is that Kadri brought an edge, good thing they addressed your complaint this summer.
Your argument will be playoffs now, but there is an outlier in his playoff performances and I don't think it is because he magically matured into some dominant playoff performer.
