I'm sort of the opposite of a punk purist and I tend to dislike the traditional punk bands around the time of the Ramones/Sex Pistols, so I'm going to play it fast and loose and include any album that has even remote punk elements, regardless of whether or not it fully fits the genre.

Any album released by The Queers should be in this converation. Also how do we define "punk" because the second Bayside album (released shortly before the drummer was killed) is my all time favorite album but they are different from, say, the Dead Kennedys or Pennywise.

I'll just mention a few I haven't seen here yet:

Dropkick Murphys- Do or Die
Face to Face- Big Choice
Swingin Utters- Five Lessons Learned
Screeching Weasel-Boogadaboogadaboogada!
Screeching Weasel- My Brain Hurts
Liked just for mentioning Screeching Weasel. Ben Weasel is awesome.

Another one I'd like to mention: Smoking Popes. They are freaking amazing.

Let's not forget his best band, Embrace. (I realize I'm probably alone in thinking this.)

or two of his side projects that are often overlooked

(Leaving the Pailhead project with Al Jourgensen out since I wouldn't exactly consider it a punk album.)

dont really listen to enough punk to make a full list, but here's the ones I'd list

- The Stooges - The Stooges
- Misfits - Static Age
- Clash - London Calling
- Sex Pistols - Nevermind the Bollocks
- Green Day - Dookie (yeah, its pop but its still one of the biggest "gateway to the genre" albums and a good one at that)
- Rollins Band - Weight

While I enjoy older punk, I grew up on 90s and 2000s pop-punk and punk. Here’s probably my most listened to albums (not necessarily in order).

Gang Green has some skate punk themes, to add to my post from page two. Preschool is a good compilation of their's.

I think I should re-do my list from page one.

Some might say grindcore is more similar to death metal. I think it is more similar to hardcore in terms of song structure and execution.

Discharge - Realities of War
The Exploited - Punks Not Dead
Repulsion - Horrified
Napalm Death - (One of the several BBC sessions. I think there are 4+ on Grind Madness at the BBC.)
Terrorizer - World Downfall
Bad Brains - Bad Brains
7 Seconds - alt.music.hardcore
Exhumed - Platters of Splatter (compilation)
Cro-Mags - The Age of Quarrel
Carcass - Reek of Putrefaction

Same here. Appreciate and respect the old stuff but I grew up on the Epi-Fat skatepunk of the 90s

Lots of newer skatepunk shreds hard and I love it. Still try to keep up with new bands and such in the scene.
Fast, melodic, riffs, solos ect. Woooo
