Low teens. Our consensus list kinda stinks, IMO. Using that, I'd probably put him at No. 13 and remove McKeown entirely. Then I'd have to move Puistola (and maybe Honka) ahead of him, so about 14-15.

Kochetkov wins his debut (Preaseason) with SKA St Petersburg. Stopped 24 of 25 shots in 4-1 win (plus an extra shootout win). His highlights show great athleticism combined with a rare feel for the position. Excited to see what he can do this year with a KHL powerhouse.

Seriously—we all say some version of goalies are voodoo. I realize it is only two weeks into the KHL (but hey we are all making definitive statements after 2 preseason games)—the hype may have been a bit much. Kochetkov has been displaced by an undrafted goalie.

I still think Kochetkov has tons of potential, but those who were giving him the Charlotte starting role next season were likely too optimistic.
