Any of Makar, Matthews, Marchand and even Vasi but I don’t like ranking goalies with position players.

Matthews had more 5v5 goals than Crosby had 5v5 points this season. I think this is a toss up between Panarin and Matthews. Crosby shouldn’t be close.

Crosby getting a tad overrated here.

Marchand -> Better offensively in each of the last 2 seasons (pretty much even 3 years ago), and is much better defensively. I don't think there's a single argument for Crosby over Marchand other than "intangibles", or just a bias because of Crosby love or Marchand hate (or both).

Matthews -> Been much better offensively than Crosby has over the last 2 years. Slightly higher point/gp, and over DOUBLE the goals that Crosby has over the last 2 years. Any defensive edge is trivial, especially when the goal difference is astronomical.

Panarin -> 21% higher point/gp than Crosby over the last 2 years (~20 point difference per 82 games). Yes Crosby is better 2-way here, but 20 points is a jarring gap to make up, especially when a top-line players main goal is offence.

Crosby places after these 3 imo, and maybe 1 further down if other D-men are considered.

Panarin, for sure. Such a dominant player who doesn't need stars on his line to produce among the absolute best. That's what sets him apart from Matthews and Marchand, who I have in the same tier.
