Blue Jackets are the most impressive. No real 62 is top which is good but with 3.01GPG and being 6th in that stat it really shows how spread the scoring was

The Predators are similarly set up, and the Rangers are even more spread out with even bigger results.

Fun bit that gets missed (since this is a top-5): the #6 and #7 scorers on the team are Zach Werenski (11-36-47 in 78gp) and Seth Jones (12-30-42 in 75gp).

Patrick Eaves finished the season with the Ducks, not the Stars

You think Colorado looks bad here? You don't even want to see our bottom 6 stats. Soderberg and Colborne went from 51 and 44 points last year to 14 and 8. **** you Bednar.

I'd say that Toronto is by far the most impressive. They are the only team in the league to have five 60+ point getters, and basically have a 40 goal scorer, plus two 30 goal scorers(JVR is close enough at 29) plus Nylander with 22 and Marner with 19. That is incredibly spread out offence.

We really need to learn how to stop pucks in our own zone.

Jets numbers are impressive for sure. When you force your forward to play team D... you get lower stats (see Nuge, Eberle). No more cheating, no more risky plays, etc.

They remind me of last year's Stars - all offense, no defense.

Ottawa needs scoring help for sure, 4 guys with 50 points, no 30 goal scorers, that's terrible.

I guess I shouldn't be surprised because people in seemingly every fanbase say that, but the numbers are right here in front of you and you should realize that most teams don't have 5 50 pt scorers.

It should be obvious that Ottawa looks normal at the top,
but lacks depth scoring.

Penguins only missed out due to injury. I know people hate the "on pace" argument, but the Pens had 3 players reach 60+ (Crosby, Malkin, Kessel), but they also had Sheary, Letang, and Guentzel on pace for 60+. Add to that Schultz at 51 points, Hornqvist with 44 in 70 games, and that's a pretty deep, spread around offense.

Also, if you focus on just goal scoring, Pens had two guys with 30+ (Crosby and Malkin), with three more at 20+ (Kessel, Sheary, Hornqvist). They also had Bonino at 18, Guentzel at 16 (in 40 games) and Rust at 15 (in 57 games).

I'd hazard a guess that the Pens are the only team in the league who has a 70-point guy on their third line.

This Pens team is even deeper up front than last year's squad that won the Cup. The problem is on the back-end, where a lot of guys are playing below the level they played at last season.

Our forwards are pretty good at D and I don't agree at all that their numbers are a product of cheating on D. Our issues are goaltending and the defensive system itself.

Our forwards are normally back and in position.

Sure, but they did that with a bunch of 30 year olds who each earn 7-9 million a year.

The Leafs did it with 19 and 20 years olds, on entry level contracts.

People crapping on Colorado's historically bad numbers, no one mentioning that New Jersey's are not that far off.

2001 was a looooooooong time ago.
