With McGinn on waivers and Sheppard traded yesterday, the Sharks were down to 12 forwards.

They are required by CBA to have minimum 12F on roster.

Perhaps the Sharks thought they'd be trading last night and needed body on roster?

You have to be really sure about your future injuries if you use everything up.
