This Markov ice time thing is getting ridiculous.
Markov is not 50 years old , he keeps himself in a great shape, he didn't play for several months , let him get in his game shape for god sake.
We are not starting the PO tomorrow so they should rest him!

Well I think we need some perspective here. Markov was top 10 last year in minutes played. All the other guys in the top 10 are around 30 years old or younger. Here's a few numbers just for comparison:
Player (age) --- TOI
Markov (36) ---- 24:54
Kronwall (34) --- 23:50
Chara (37) ----- 23:20
Campbell (35) -- 23:12
Streit (36) ------ 22:22
Not an exhaustive list, but these are the older dman playing most minutes. Any other guy over 22m/g is significantly younger than that.
All the coaches know that you have to manage a dman's minutes when he gets older. Markov sticks out of the bunch here. He should play 22 minutes max.
