What happened was Lydman was caught way up in the offensive zone...Fowler was the only man back...he got beat 2 on 1...and if Getzlaf hadn't been backchecking it would've been a goal

Fowler stepping up caused the 2 on 1 (would've been a 2 on 0 had Lydman not gotten back), then Lydman pressured the puck with Getzlaf backchecking.
