According to Briere, the more significant injury to Drysdale was a core injury that he may still end up having surgically repaired. WTF??

If he needs surgery, why not get it done already? What’s he waiting for, Christmas?

This organization is a f***ing disaster from top to bottom.

Flyers medical staff: "Now now surgery is a last resort, lets see if we rub dirt on it, if that doesn't work then we spit on it and rub more dirt, if after three months that doesn't work then we'll bring in the crystals and essential oils."

Isn't it like a difficult surgery that really screws guys up after they get it done?

Don’t forget the leetches. They usually fall somewhere between the essential oils and an exorcism.

If so, then we traded a guy we picked 5OA for a guy with a bad shoulder who might be one surgery away from being totally cooked and a future 2nd round pick.

That there’s some fine asset management.

Giroux had something like it done in 2016 so no, not necessarily.

His next season wasn‘t the best though

The plus is that the Flyers likely won't be as competitive next season so it is a good time to punt a season to heal right. The downside is that Drysdale has missed so much development time already. Optimally he could get fully recovered and, when ready, do some recovery time with the Phantoms.

Wasn't Mr. Aussie Rules Football supposed to improve player wellness, training, and overall fitness?

I don’t know what that has to do with an issue Drysdale has had since before he came here.

The Flyers can’t force Drysdale to get the surgery just because they want him to.

Doesn't matter if Drysdale ends up having surgery or not, but combination of flyers medical expertise and injury prone player. Add in coach pushing him too early trying to save his job and we can all just skip to next off season when we will be hearing about Drysdale have a surgical procedure done.
