I'll be at the Ducks game tonight (I reside in Orange County.). Hopefully Rants gets 2 goals to hit 50 for the season.
If he goes back to the minors, tears it up (likely) and gets yet another shot at an NHL bench he'll officially be the Norv Turner of the NHL.

Goes without saying but huge two games coming up. Playing this well through all the injuries only to have to face Dallas in the 1st round would be a real bummer. Must avoid them at all costs.

One of my coworkers is a Wild fan and he’s nothing like this. He was actually cheering for the Avs in the Finals but maybe that’s just cause he grew up a Leaf’s fan and only cheers for the Wild cause his friend is on the team.

I spent some formative years in Minnesota and even though I was never a North Stars fan, I was disgusted when they got shot off to Dallas. I had never been in such a hockey-crazy place and suddenly they had no team; so damn nuts. I got to see some early Wild games from pretty close up and I was into them as a second team for a while. Until they became super annoying rivals, now I can't stand them.
Same thing with the Sharks, I was living in the Bay Area when they first started and I actually grew to hate the Red Wings from watching the nasty games the Sharks played against them, and they did pretty well as underdogs. I couldn't watch Nords games on TV at that point, so the Sharks were kind of it for a few seasons. I still root for them a little, but they've been irrelevant a long time.
