I'm sure there are tons out there, but how about a more recent one? Who are some underrated players in the league, both on your team and on others? And try to avoid the one's like Backstrom who everyone says is underrated, since that kinda defeats the purpose of bringing them up.

David Savard. Defensive machine, and pretty good P/60.

The Jackets gave up 4+ goals 3 times in their first 36 games. Savard gets hurt and they do it 6 games in a row. He comes back tonight and they give up one goal total.

For the Blues, Berglund. Defensive beast, can hold on to the puck better than any non elite player in the league imo.

From the Rangers, Kevin Hayes. Everyone always talks about Miller and Kreider (rightfully so) but Hayes receives very little attention. On pace for 65 points this year. Players not from my team that are underrated, Stephen Johns, Nino, Coyle (although people are starting to notice him more this season), Krug, Sekera, and Horvat to name a few.
