I read a book when I was in elementary school called Wringer by Jerry Spinelli. It’s about a young boy who has to take part in an annual pigeon shooting event and wring the injured birds’ necks. But he has a moral crisis in taking part and takes a pigeon, who flew onto his window sill, as a pet.
This week the boys discuss the latest moves the Flyers have made and try to figure out where the team's strengths and weaknesses lie. Is this team better? Probably! Will they be bad this year? Who knows! It's Philly!
Meh. I already covered all that in the latest episode of "Good Cap, Bad Crap." I guess some of us are more serious about p-casting than others, though I do welcome honest feedback.
The Flyers locked Carter Hart into a 3 year/$12 million contract this week and the kid got to flex his bartering skills. But are we going once, twice, sold on he young netminder? Find out!
The Flyers appear to have wrapped up their summer spending, inking Travis Snaheim to a new deal and signing veteran Derick Brassard. The boys talk about how these signings add further depth to a Flyers team in desperate need of a strong season.
The Flyers locked up Sean 1Couturier to an 8 year deal at a very team-friendly price. Not only that, development camp just wrapped up and there have been some surprising stories! Listen in for all that and more.
The boys went away for a bit and came back to find that the Flyers locked up yet another young piece. Not only that, preseason is almost upon us. Oh, and are we getting a new goal song?
Flyers hockey is back and so are we! After mulling it over, the pigeons decided to bring it back for another year of Flyers talk! Listen in as we preview some camp battles in the wake of some big injuries, and we react to the first (kinda) real Flyers game since last year!
