Such an amazing year to tank. Fields is better than the majority of 1st overall QBs, this top 2 is even better than Luck/RG3 was considered at the time. And then you have Sewell as the consolation prize who people have slept on. He'd be the consensus #1 pick in most years.

The 1 win Jaguars remain the sole one win team after losing to the Packers today. The Giants move out of the 2 win column after beating the Eagles today.

Really hope Jacksonville gets a QB. Hoping someone else can take one ahead of the Jets too. They dont deserve it.

Texans continuing to give Miami a shot at a really high 1st round pick
Similar to the one they gave the Browns, #4 overall, but at least that was their QB they got. That was well worth the 2 first rounders even at #4. Would they be any better since Watson got injured in his rookie season to take a shot at Josh Allen? Without trading for Watson though, they might have been in position to draft Darnold instead the following season.

Don't see many wins left on their schedule. They already beat the Jags twice. At this point, a maximum of 4 wins is what I would expect from Houston. So, that's a 4-7 OA pick range there.

Miami is going to have to make a push now, while all of these draft picks are on rookie contracts. Thus they were able to pay Jones, Van Noy, etc. 2 first and 2 seconds in this draft. Finally looks like they can be a good team for a while.

Is this Wilson kid legit? its looking like the WFT will have to choose between Wilson and Lance. They need a QB and i dont see them picking another position at this point

Never draft a QB in round 1 unless you are planning on keeping the current coaching staff for the next 3 seasons. That is the amount of time you need to give the QB and coach to develop. Otherwise best to pass on that kid and take another player.

rivera will be there for a while so if the want to take a qb it would make sense.

Washington and Miami (via Houston) move out of the 2 win column with wins today. Remaining 2 win teams are Dallas and LAC, whose games just started along with Cincinnati. Jaguars remain the sole 1 win team after losing today.

Today is the Jets best and maybe only chance at a win until week 17 when the Pats could troll them. I do think the Jags get one more win though.

Edit: or not!

Add in Trey Lance and Zach Wilson as well.

Absolutely stacked QB class.

2018 class of the big 5, right now only 2 would warrant a long term deal in Allen’s Sb Jackson and both still have question marks.

Allen still lacks consistency. Jackson though not many opportunities has yet to show he can lead the ravens from behind down 2 scores in the second half.
Darnold depending on where he is moved to May still get his 5th year option picked up or May do a deal which averages his 4th and 5th year cap hits but still get the same money to help a team out. Mayfield won’t get his option picked up. Rosen, see if he rises to backup status by end of season to surpass Gabbert.

so anything can happen with this group of QBs.

2020 was about Tua before Burrow played well. Herbert and Tua and Burrow all playing well this season. Love is a long term project. Other two QBs worth mentioning are Hurts and Eason. Hurts is a wildcat option for Philly right now. Eason see if he shows enough in practice to give Indy any confidence to give him a shot next season.

All QBs their success depends on where they land.

Jets remain in sole possession of 1st overall. Also, with the Cowboys and Chargers winning we now have a single 0, 1, and 2 win team giving us a clear top 3 of

Jets
Jaguars
Bengals

#1 Jets 0-10 (.585 SOS)
#2 Jaguars 1-9 (.553 SOS)

Very long shot but with Burrow out they could lose out:
#3 Bengals 2-7-1

Looking at the schedules, it seems almost impossible for the Jaguars SOS to catch up to the Jets SOS. Both have very difficult schedules left. What really hurts the Jets in the SOS race is the fact the Jaguars face the NFC North (will likely have 3 teams 8-8 or worse) and the Jets face the NFC West (will likely have three teams with at least 9 wins).

Bengals won't pick top-2. Not a bad thing for them. Burrow looks legit and they should take OT to protect him.

If the Bengals get the #1 pick (which is not going to happen because Adam Gase exists) they'd either take Sewell outright or trade it for a king's ransom (the contents of which *must* include some form of OL help.) #2 and later, the pick should be kept and Sewell should be the selection.

I would absolutely love if the Bengals get the #3 pick. The Jets and Jaguars are either going to take quarterbacks (likely) or move those picks to teams looking to draft quarterbacks (less likely), either way that leaves an elite OT prospect available for a team that needs one more than anything else.

I could somehow see the Jets trading away with the Jags for 2nd overall and draft Sewell or if they get the 2nd overall selection decide to draft Sewell instead of a QB

Given everything that has transpired and the fact they're in the NY media market, the Jets realistically need to come out of the draft with Lawrence IMO. They have to remove Gase, hire an offensive-minded coach good with young players, draft Lawrence and build around him (unlike what they did with Darnold.) If some team offers you by far the biggest draft trade haul in history, that may be different, but everything is lined up for Lawrence to NYJ.

Sewell needs to be a Bengal. It is destiny. I will consider no other possibilities, and will plug my ears and eyes at the suggestion.

Jets lose today, and yet again have full control of the 1st overall pick. The Jaguars and Bengals lost as well, keeping the first 3 picks set in place. The 3 win column also narrows up substantially with WFT, Houston, NYG, and Atlanta (games not over but they're blowing out the Raiders) all winning this week, with only the Chargers, Eagles, and Cowboys remaining in that spot.

I didnt realize the Eagles are 7th right now. Wow.
According to NFL.com, per the League standings the entire NFC East is slotted in the bottom 10 of the league. Just that the Giants are in 1st in the division, thus they wouldn't pick until the 20's.

Giants are currently seeded with the 9th worst record in the NFL, but are a division leader.
