I won't speak for everyone here, but I will say that I'd imagine 99% of us not only appreciate your presence on the site and your work as a moderator, but would be there for you if you ever need to talk/vent/rant/etc.
No, you do speak for all of us when you say that.
Good ol' Bike Gifter knows just how to cheer our buddy Graves up, too: Elliott Smith lyrics! I ran back through his greatest hits while mowing last weekend and, man, assuming you can slog your way back out of it afterwards, it's such a pretty misery vacation.

Had me a wonderful day today. At work during a retirement party for a co worker I bit into my food, bit a bone or something (still don't know what it was, metal?) Broke my prosthetic tooth clear out of my mouth. Left work immediately realizing it was 1pm on the friday before a holiday and if I had any chance of getting my tooth reattached I'd have to leave without investigating what really caused it.

Got to my dentist on an absolute prayer ( this saint was supposed to leave work at 130 pm to visit his dad in hospice but stayed to see me).

Turns out the concrete and Bridge work they did years prior installing my tooth ended up faulty and wasn't sealed right and over the years the teeth attached to the concrete had begun rotting behind the concrete...something they couldn't see behind the concrete and bridge work.

Going old school hockey style without a front tooth until Wednesday when they decide if the work was so faulty my front 1-3 teeth need to be removed entirely. The kicker...I'm getting married in less than a month...

So I need to pay to have a new fake tooth molded and placed in an invisalign cast just to get me through the wedding photos as best possible before they can decide how serious the procedure needs to be long term..

Loving life. Had a short camping trip paid for that is now canceled for the dentist visits required to get this moving....turn 30 on the 7th, going through my confirmation the 9th, wedding the 29th, honeymoon after...dI'd I mention how convenient this is lol?!

Anybody know Brent aka LaxSabre?

He hasn't been online now for a week and that is very unusual for him. He is a big part of the Sportsbook community dating back to when it was vBookie.

Hoping all is well with him.

I'll be honest...I cannot wait for summer to end. This weather has gotten ridiculous. So hot and humid and its already September yet felt like a blazing hot late July day not to mention the humidity.

60 degrees and cloudy consistently cant come soon enough. I miss hoodie weather. During the winter if it's cold out and you need to go out you can bundle up and stay warm. Only so many possible layers you can take off in hot weather.

At a Fall Out Boy concert at Pru Center and the opening act was Buffalo's own Every Time I Die. They played The Sabre Dance as their intro theme and I'm positive I was the only one here who got the reference.

First day as a sorta lawyer. Have to be at arraignments at 9am for the Syracuse Law Criminal Defense Clinic. If nothing else, it’ll be an interesting 12 weeks.
A day to remember! My first day as a full fledged lawyer I was sent by one of the partners to "just get an adjournment". Turned out it had been previously postponed and I was given an hour to prepare and proceed! Scared stiff but survived. Client guilty but just got a slap on the wrist. He was tickled pink and other than needing a change of underwear so was I.....

Anyone have a recommendation for a hockey card site? I'm trying to do a wall with a card of every Sabre to play for the Sabres. Have a bunch already but want to finish it off. Looking for commons but don't want to pay $1 each for a card worth 10 cents and then $4 for shipping for each one that you get on eBay.

my first day I was assigned someone with no permanent address and no permanent phone and the judge ROR'd him, so fingers crossed I someday get to meet the person

A tale of three kids on the first day of school:

- My 16yo wouldn't even look at me.

- My 14yo (it was his first day of HS/9th grade) didn't want me at the bus stop and reluctantly was OK with me taking a picture of the bus pulling away.

- My 11yo (it was her first day of MS/6th grade) was completely fine with her mother and I at the bus stop and taking pictures and stuff.

I didn't even show up for my highschool grad pictures let alone first day of school pictures. My moms still rattled over that.
I lost my HS yearbook in one of my house moves, along with my collegiate academic all-American athlete award/plaque. Pretty sure they were in the same box, either got covered over with a box or two of magazines which I recycled (Money, Nat. Geo. etc.), or was left behind in an attic / closet inadvertently. Never posed for collegiate yearbook photos other than athletic team pics.

I really don't like having photos available on fb / social media. I don't post any, but can't legitimately ask my wife to refrain from posting. I'll never post photos of my son, but she'll post photos of her kids / my step-kids. I understand her view is the social benefit outweighs the risk in her mind, but I continue to see it as a pandora's box. One might argue this board is a pandora's box, but it's far far less pervasive and potentially problematic as fb, IG, twitter, etc. are.
