We need a thread dedicated to only positives, at this point.

1: Karlsson has looked better and better, he will soon be back to his old form.
2: We do have one of the best goalie tandems in the league.
3: The Turris trade was extremely benificial for us, he is a stud.
4: Cowen does have the potential to become a solid #2 or #3.
5: Zibanejad is showing signs of utter studlery.
6: We do have one of the best coaches in the league.
7: With time, Spezza and Ryan will find their chemistry, they are way too talented to not.
8: We have some really sexy prospects in the organization.
9: We do have the cap room to improve. (yeah I know)
10....?

Who cares about Spezza and Ryan finding chemistry, when Turris and Ryan already have it? I'd rather Spezza just find his game again, period. He was so good 2 seasons ago, but he's nowhere close to that level right now (at least when it comes to everything but scoring).

I agree with everything else you said, though.

Spezza does need players to play with tho, that u gotta agree with. Michalek and Greening are useless. And since we traded our 1st rounder next year why not find a top winger with Ceci + 2nd or something. Ceci sucks anyways but still has value.

You don't understand - we need results NOW... MUST START THE SEASON 10 - 0 OR ELSE GUT THE ****ING ROSTER

Nice overreaction. You need points at all parts of the season. If they lose Friday, tonight, Tuesday...six points gone, poof. At least last year we got some points in losses, we aren't even doing that now.

If November turns into December and this team is lagging behing a wild card spot, they will have to do some serious soul-searching.

The schedule gets easier.

And nobody is disputing that. What we are disputing is the need to pull the trigger on a trade now. We're not even a month into the season.

Haha, I know!! Really!

As frustrating as it is to watch the team play like this, it is still very early. IIRC the year the Sens went to the cup finals, we were 13th of 15 in the Eastern conference in December. Yet we cleaned up our act, and ended up doing just fine.

I don't think we need to start losing our minds when October hasn't even finished. If by mid or end-November, and we still haven't cleaned it up, then maybe we can start to be a little more upset.

Obviously its annoying to watch how we've played. But it really has not been as awful as its looked. Clean up defensively (aka just cut out bone head moves and be some what responsible) and don't take ridiculous penalties --- our team immediately looks ridiculously better and we could win games we've lost.

I don't think people would be panicking as much if we hadn't traded our first round pick. If we finished outside of the playoffs and we still had our pick, we could chalk it up as another rebuilding year. Since we don't have that pick, people are desperate for the playoffs (understandable)

The Swedish connection + Ryan are the silver lining right now.

Swedish connection = Karlsson, Lehner, Zibanejad.

Conacher has been playing pretty good... it surprises me that he doesn't have more points.

We're a good, young team and a lot of the added pieces from the rebuild are yet to play for the Sens.

We are 1 pt out of the 7th position despite our "horrible start" to the season and by far the toughest part of our schedule this year?

Anaheim 9-3

This. We are 4-1-2 against other NHL teams. Plan the parade

We're 3-0-1 against teams in the Eastern Conference.

Disappointing that we can't handle these high end Western teams, but it will take time to re-adjust, and we're still the youngest team in the league.

 everyone that has a hard on for Spezza says he needs better players to play with... Even after the Ryan trade it's still Spezza needs better players. Spezza is the problem you tools. He is the most inconsistent, lazy player on this team and he is getting paid the most. So why would a guy like smith or greening have to do more skating or battle in the corner for the puck if the the lazy captain doesn't do it himself.

Karlsson is the most inconsistent player on this team by far. Did you see his backchecking last night? Those constant giveaways in front of his own net for goals against? He's cost us the most games, single-handedly, than any other player over the last 3 years.
