I have this sinking feeling in my gut that we are going to proceed along the following for our opening night roster:

CapGeek Armchair GM Roster

Raffi Torres ($2.000m) / Joe Thornton ($6.750m) / Tyler Kennedy ($2.350m)
James Sheppard ($1.300m) / Andrew Desjardins ($0.750m) / Mike Brown ($1.200m)
John Scott ($0.700m) / Adam Burish ($1.850m) /

I like to think Kennedy won't be here since he hasn't fit in well with your system and he should have value elsewhere. But really, I'm an optimist - if I were wagering money I still think I'd go with him being gone by beginning of season, but not by much. The biggest hole in that roster is D - I'm not sure what I'll think of DW goes into the seasons till not addressing our needs on D.

I would hope he and burish would both be gone. Even so, add tye McGinn in Kennedy's place. Still no room for Hamilton or tierney to challenge for a spot. Something has got to give

Anxiously awaiting the first domino to fall.

Agreed - I was surprised no buyout was used on Burish. Can't see another team wanting him at his salary hit - maybe we'd retain some salary and deal him, but still not sure if he's attractive at $1M.

He will never be attractive at any cost. He looks like the cyclops from krull.

With Demers electing for arbitration, don't we still have a buyout window? Not like we need cap space to do a compliance buy out, a regular one would be fine.

That said, I can't see DW doing a buyout on either Burish or Kennedy even though it would make sense so youngsters have a better chance

I don't think Burish or Kennedy qualify for the second buyout window due to their salary. I think in the second window, they have to have a salary at or over 2.75 million.

Since when does making sense have anything to do with this team's transactions?

Sharks roadmap to success.....Fire Randy Hahn + Change uniform colors to red & white + trade Bracken Kearns for a 7th round pick in 2016 draft + Increase parking lot rates by $5 = :stanley:

Guranteed.

hmm don't know if it won't work unless we try

I think they should trade for Leddy, take in Bickell to help their cap problems.
Kennedy, Sheppard/pick and Tennyson/Teirny? Would do.

Bartkowski signed. Another poach target off the list for anyone who cared.

BTW All the threads are starting to kinda merge together. Essentially the same conversations going on in like half the threads. I'm starting to lose track of what's going on where.

Totally agree. We've got two rebuild threads, a tanking thread, and a rosterbation thread. It's getting very hard to keep track of everything.

It is less then this and by a huge margin.

Every week a new thread pops up with a new wording for the direction that the sharks are going.

I guess since we have no real info to go off of, it just turns into massive amounts of speculation.

Pretty much.

Hey at least I've mostly shut up, I've been way too busy at work to spend any time here. I got a completely new $500k server infrastructure approved (all new servers, storage, network) and I'm going to be spending the entire off-season planning an implementing that.

So, you are welcome ;)

That looks like a good roster to start the season and with space to make moves. Copy and paste DW. :handclap:
