Ovechkin only had 65 points in the 11/12 season, and he's on pace for more points than this past season as well... he's easily having his best season since 09/10.

But by 09/10 standards, he is having a terrible season points wise. He had a 124 point pace that season.

It's the dirty little secret of statistical leaders, they tend to pad the stats against the dregs of the league.

right but it sounds like he is saying the 70 points is ovechkin best ever and thats a complete joke if he thinks that haha

Oh no not disagreeing. Just saying that yes he is scoring less, but his becoming a more complete player has helped his team more than only being talented offensively did. (Individual) scoring isn't everything, after all. The TEAM outscoring the opponent is

Sid having the worst year of his career == Ovie playing the best hockey of his life lol

I don't want to seem obtuse, but is this supposed to be a slam on Ovechkin or on Crosby?

Because Secondaries = Goals :shakehead

Ovie is by far the leader in primary points.

Well, maybe you should go post in the thread about the award for "primary points".

We get it, you and Koized hate secondary assists, do you have to bring it up every three pages in a thread about the Art Ross? Can't you just enjoy one of the closest Art Ross races in years?

Consensus is that Crosby isn't really in the Hart discussion anyway, so I don't know why you're so up in arms. Hart is probably between Price (current favourite), Tavares or OV depending on if one of them wins the AR.
