The Canucks hold his rights until July 1st 2022. That's when he become a UFA as he'll be 27.When do own Tryamkins rights until and what does his khl contract look like. Term? Does it have an out?
This is great news in his thread it said we lose his rights the summer his khl contract expires. I have no idea hope you are right as at the very least his rights are an asset. I still believe he will be a star. The Canucks hold his rights until July 1st 2022. That's when he become a UFA as he'll be 27.
His contract expires April 30th 2020. No out clause has been reported. He would have to buy out his own contract to leave the KHL early.

He has only had two "professional seasons". A player must be under NHL contract to accrue professional seasons. He hasn't played 80 games in the NHL (79), has over 3 pro seasons accrued and is 25 when his KHL contract is up. I think that means he could elect for Group 6 free agency.
For the purpose of determining Group 6 UFAs professional experience, for players over 20 years of age includes 1 game played in a season ANY pro league beyond Junior or Collegiate. He will be a Group 6 UFA when his KHL contract expires. He has only had two "professional seasons". A player must be under NHL contract to accrue professional seasons.
Where did you get that from? In the CBA they define professional games as needing to be under a NHL SPC. If that isn't the case then how come Rodin wasn't a Group 6 UFA?For the purpose of determining Group 6 UFAs professional experience, for players over 20 years of age includes 1 game played in a season ANY pro league beyond Junior or Collegiate. (c) Group 6 Free Agents
(i)
Means any Player who is age 25 or older who has completed three (3) or
more professional seasons, whose SPC has expired and: (i) in the case of a
Player other than a goaltender, has played less than 80 NHL Games, or (ii)
in the case of a goaltender, has played less than 28 NHL Games (for the
purpose of this definition, a goaltender must have played a minimum of
thirty (30) minutes in an NHL Game to register a game played). For the
purposes of the foregoing, the term professional season shall: (A) for a
Player aged 18 or 19, mean any season in which such Player plays in
eleven (11) or more Professional Games (including NHL Regular Season
and Playoff Games, minor league regular season and playoff games, and
games played in any European professional league, while under an SPC),
and (B) for a Player aged 20 or older, mean any season in which such
Player plays in one or more Professional Games (including NHL Regular
Season and Playoff Games, minor league regular season and playoff
games, and games played in any European professional league, while
under an SPC).
The whole purpose of Group 6 is to allow players like Tryamkin, who were drafted, but not under NHL contracts and playing in other professional leagues (usually Europe) to achieve NHL free agency without having to wait until 27 years of age. If a team can't sign an player, they shouldn't be able to hold onto his rights forever.
No, the CBA is pretty clear that those 3 "professional seasons" must occur while under an NHL contract: ..............
