They talk about it a lot in the series on youtube, but the USA doesn't have a monopoly on freaks of nature. A lot of these guys would've been top college prospects if they were simply born here instead of Europe or Africa. I'm from the UK. I spent twenty years playing rugby. I know first hand.
Most of the translations from rugby to the NFL haven't worked yet because we've been talking skill players and there's just a huge amount of specialised knowledge there that you just can't learn overnight. But for the lines? I can see a time where the NFL is just hoovering up these guys from around the globe. Maybe I'm underestimating how tough it is to to learn how to play OL/DL but it does not look stupidly hard.
