I don't think they had any play drawn up for that final shot...Maxey almost dribbled out the clock, gave it off to Embiid, who's only option was to shootGood lord. I love Tyrese, and I completely get the idea of having him going in full speed, but he should have taken a page from Harden’s book on that. Just lean into anyone available. Worst case, you make 1 of 2 and the game is tied. Also don't like Joel getting the last shot. Good ole Philly sports.
I agree, I've been enjoying watching the sixers since the process, but I just can't understand how the officiating is supposed to work. It has to be the most inconsistent arbitrary crap of any of the major sports.Oh well. Over the years I’ve soured on the direction the NBA has gone in; teams jacking up 50 3’s a game is boring, reffing is completely arbitrary and often dependent on the player involved, too star reliant, and games almost feeling scripted (nba is lucky they weren’t maimed by the donaghy shenanigans)
It's weird taking a long hiatus from a sport, about 20 years for me, and seeing how much it's changed. Guys who were deadly from 3 were more rare, and somewhat specialists. Now, most of your team is expected to be able to do that to some degree. A guy like Steph can make it sexy, but a guy who does nothing but that and play defense? Not so much for me. I get why it's gone that way, but I don't find it as entertaining as it used to be. Especially on a night where, God forbid, both teams are missing. Then it just looks like they're taking turns.Oh well. Players like Reggie Miller and Stojakovic kinda got a raw deal, born at the wrong time thing. Even someone like Kyle Korver would have made ton of money in todays NBA. Steph Curry changed the league but made it more boring and predictable. It's weird taking a long hiatus from a sport, about 20 years for me, and seeing how much it's changed. Don’t worry guys. The NBA will put out their report saying that they f***ed up multiple times resulting in nothing changing but at least we’ll know we were right.
that would be cricket actuallyI agree, I've been enjoying watching the sixers since the process, but I just can't understand how the officiating is supposed to work. It has to be the most inconsistent arbitrary crap of any of the major sports.
I think hockey has to be the best officiated sport funny enough.
Nah, that's the NFL. Way more betting and they literally do "walk throughs"that would be cricket actually
the NBA is the one sport I could see being rigger/scripted/fixed
