Is Shohei Ohtani the goat of goats?

Remains to be seen how long he can continue excelling at both but this season is something baseball has never seen.

Looking forward to today's HR Derby in HR paradise @ Coors field. Hello +500 feet shots.

Giannis is having a historic playoff run.

Back-to-back 40-point & 10 rebound games. Only Shaq has done this in the NBA Finals before:

He also joined elite company in the 3rd quarter last game:

Bucks tie the series after being down 2-0. Now the series is tied 2-2. Middleton dominant with a 40-point performance.

Now Giannis and Middleton become the third teammates to score 40-point games in the finals. Giannis had 42 in Game 2, he had 41 in Game 3, and Middleton had 40 tonight in Game 4. Only other teammates to do this were LeBron and Anthony Davis and Kareem and Magic.

After finally taking the lead in the 4th quarter, Bucks were up 101-99, and Giannis came up with one of the biggest blocks of NBA Finals history:

Giannis is putting up the kind of performances for the ages.

Giannis definitely Finals MVPing at the moment
Really proud of him, guy gets so much guff it freaks me out, hes a great guy, and hes opening a LOT of people's eyes this finals man, on a injured knee to boot.

In other news, fresh off his All star game HR and MVP, Vladdy jr just crushed 2 more Homer's tonight to put him at 30 :D, 3 behind Sho-time
But #1 still in AVG. with .335 and #1 in RBI with 77
Triple Crown watch still in effect :D

Phenomenal season by Vlady Jr. Will be interesting to see how he transitions from a very hitter friendly Sahlen Field to Rogers Centre.

So far 19 of 30 HRs came at Home in 40 games.

Code:
Split G GS PA AB R H 2B 3B HR RBI SB CS BB SO BA OBP SLG OPS TB GDP HBP SH SF IBB ROE BAbip tOPS+ sOPS+

Toronto is slightly above average for park factor.

I get you n everything lol but really the field doesnt really matter for someone like vlad who hits balls on avg 420 ft lol
Sahlen field dimensions :
Left field: 325 ft (99 m) Left-center field: 371 ft (113 m) Center field: 404 ft (123 m) Right-center field: 367 ft (112 m) Right field: 325 ft (99 m)

Roger's center dimensions :
Left Field Line – 328 ft (100 m) Left-Centre Power Alley – 375 ft (114 m) Centre Field – 400 ft (120 m) Right-Centre Power Alley – 375 ft (114 m) Right Field Line – 328 ft (100 m)

Not really a huge difference, Roger's center is also considered very hitter friendly too actually
But he definitely seems to hit more Homer's at "home" lol but those are natural splits for ballplayers, most have the same disparity in home-away HRs

What a coming out season tho :D

Bucks with a huge road win last night, winning the game 123-119 and now up 3-2 in the series after being down 2-0. They have a chance to win it all at home on Tuesday.

And another legendary moment, with 20 seconds left, Bucks are up by one, Suns making their way to the basket, Holiday with a huge steal and an iconic alley oop to Giannis, to make it 122-119.

League wide this season batters are actually hitting more dingers on the road 1633 HRs (home) vs 1637 HRs (Away)

Major League 2021 Batting Splits | Baseball-Reference.com

But yeah Rogers Centre is slightly above average for batters friendliness so we should still expect in general better numbers at Home. Road or Home hope he continues crushing them. Props for taking offseason seriously and slimming down. Eligible for arbitration after this season, Junior is gonna get paid.

Omedeto Morikawa san! Good fun tournament but no wind so too easy. Still good they could play this year. Our UK guy was pretty insistent we watch it in ''proper ''surrounding and found a British pub filled with Brits and others. Made me try a Murphys red beer which I did not want to,not for me.

$150k SB Cash on the Bucks. Let's see how it goes.

Personally I think it's over. Phoenix, despite their offensive success, shot themselves in the foot too many times, Milwaukee has the momentum at home.

Milwaukee definitely has the momentum.

And the fact that Game 4 and Game 5 were really two crucial plays that made the difference.

Game 4: the Giannis block when it was 101-99. Had Ayton made that alley oop, it would have been 101-101. But Giannis made that historic block and Bucks came back, Middleton made the two plus the foul that he converted.

Game 5: the Holiday steal on Booker when the game was 120-119 with about 20 seconds left and he came back for that crucial alley oop for Giannis. Giannis is fouled.

He misses it, but it hits the back of the rim and bounces back out. He tips back the rebound to Middleton. If Suns got that rebound, they had plenty of time to come back and hit a 3 to tie it and force an OT. Instead, Giannis tipped it back and Middleton is fouled.

What does Middleton do? He misses the first free throw. Now, if he misses the next free throw, Phoenix still has a shot. But Middleton hits the next free throw and now Bucks were up by 4.

But despite both games being a matter of crucial plays at crucial moments, it was the Bucks who got the upper hand in both cases.

And I sooooo want Giannis to win it.
