Coming from someone who’s worked in ad tech. The 2x identical in-banner videos running on mobile in addition to this extremely annoying auto refresh is possible the worst mobile web experience a site could ever deliver.

It felt like a race against time to get that post off before it got killed by auto refresh. The mobile experience is the biggest reason I barely go on here anymore now that I can’t screw around during work on my laptop. HF is leaving money on the table with this crap.

I bought AdGuard for $17 “for life” even though I apparently didn’t have to pay. I don’t know. iPhone 6s here. Hfboards works flawlessly now, when it used to eat my posts.

Put "dns.adguard.com" (no quotations) into the private dns option in your phone, under connection settings and never deal with ads, the refresh thing, etc ever again.

I pay the $10 a year or whatever to be a sponsor and I've never had a single issue with the site on mobile. Works great. If you enjoy the site and don't want ads ruining everything it seems like a worthwhile investment.
