Guardians is amazing! Saw it for the second time last night

I feel like i'm really missing something with this movie.

I thought it was...amusing. But everyone else is raving about it like it's movie of the year or something.

It had really low expectations to begin with...
Because most people have never heard of it.
Then it turned something really different from other superhero movies...
With a ton of humour...
And people were pleasantly surprised.

For comic book fans...
It was faithful to the tone of the comics...
So they too were quite pleased.
It was just surprisingly well-done...
And even the choice of Batista was a good one.

That is the thing.
I thought he would be terrible at acting too...
As most wrestlers are.

He had one really good angle...
When he turned against Evolution...
And challenged Triple H for the belt.
That was when he got the crowd behind him...
Which includes me.
He also does have a lot of strength and power...
And crowds always enjoys the power moves.

He does botch a lot though.
I will always remember that 2005 Royal Rumble...
When he lost his balance..
And got both him and Cena eliminated...
Even though he was scheduled to win.
Then Vince McMahon had to come out to fix the mistake...
Only for him to torn both leg muscles during his walk.

I thought he would be terrible at acting too...
As most wrestlers are.

True, I don't see any current wrestlers (past or present) winning the Oscar anytime soon - but the good ones are at least entertaining. I found Batista pretty boring in his WWE career (not just talking about matches by his 'mic work'). Thinking on this, I change my mind. I am surprised he is a better actor than a wrestler (because I can't decide what was worse....his 'in ring work' or his 'mic work' in his WWE career!).

I thought it is just a very, very cheap knock-off of When Harry Met Sally...
A far funnier...
And superior...
Film.

It is fine as a date movie...
But just do not expect to be entertained.
I was bored by how predictable it was...
And there is nothing memorable about the movie.

Nice to see a film take place in Canada. None of this film in Toronto and say it's New York nonsense.

A solid date movie. You have to make some concessions, even if she may have enjoyed Guardians, it's not the most romantic gesture. I enjoyed Radcliffe and Katzan's chemistry, and Adam Driver is nice comic relief, that being said it's predicatable as with most date movies.

I just do not like the movie.
I cannot stand how every date movie nowadays wants to be the next Juno...
And I absolutely hated the dialogue...
Which wanted to be smart...
But is mostly inane.
That weird oxymoron annoys me to no end.

That said...
Canada does have some good talents...
And not just in Quebec.
I watched a movie called Blackbird...
And it really gave me hope in the Canadian film industry.

The talent is there.
Telefilm just have to help it grow...
Especially in English Canada.

AC Unity looks awesome, not awesome enough to make me think of buying a new console anytime soon, but still. The Co-OP looks insanely cool and the missions seem to allow for a lot more creativity and really puts the user in charge.

Plus it's stunning.
