RULE: All players drafted must have a minimum of 100 NHL games experience (playoff games included). No rebuilding here. Any players with less NHL experience will have to wait for the AHL call-up draft to follow.
That's the #1 rule.

In the Original 6 Era of the 1940's-60's young stars had to play in the AHL and the AHL actually had very high level of play because the NHL only had six teams. It will be very interesting to do a farm club draft of undrafteds following our O6 draft and pick players with under 100 NHL games experience (the AHL call-up Draft).

But MacKinnon has 98 NHL regular season games (plus 7 NHL playoff games) for a total of 105. He is eligible!
