Simply not enough skill / class. Not even close to enough.

I'm no Donovan fanboy, but the decision to leave him off an include Wondowloski will always be bizarre to me. I don't care how many MLS goals he scores, he's always looked out of place on the national team (in my admittedly limited viewing). If Altidore doesn't get hurt, maybe it doesn't matter. But they needed to be able to bring someone on who could finish at a critical time.

yeah lets blame Wondo when they defended 85 percent of the game at least.

Not sure who you are addressing, but no one blamed him for the loss. They were clearly outplayed and the game should have been about 5-0 when that chance fell to Wondo.

The fact that he was their best option off the bench is a symptom of the problem--a chasmic gap in skill on the frontline.
