We desperately need those days off. Especially if we’re putting chytil in the lineup.

The team was feeling the pressure for sure. In a rut for sure Panarin changed everything with that goal. Shesterkin stepped up big time. We put alot of rubber on the islanders these last two games sometimes it just won’t go in. And these ruts happen. I think they really want the Presidents Trophy. This team has won every must win game all year. They did it again today.

A moron which considering this is the NHL could be any one of the people in the league office including Betman.

yeah but for a change it actually favors us. it's basically been 5 home games to end the season (4 with one on LI in between) and then 4 days off before the playoffs is excellent.

Beat the Senators Monday and nothing else matters.

Nothing.

Lots of things matter. Like being the #1 seed but probably getting one of the worst matchups against a red hot Penguins team.

Since all we need now is to beat Ottawa, we need Boston to cool the Pens down tonight and maybe WSH or DET can actually win a game

With this win any loss by Dallas, Boston and Carolina eliminates them from the Presidents trophy. Would be nice to see them all lose their next game but probably not happening with their opponents minus Boston who plays Pitts.

Apologize to the team Rangers fans. You know who you are.
for what? They sucked ass.

Saved by Igor and the crossbar.

Panarin goal was 5v5. But yeah. They had chances today but man that was aggravating.
ESPN app still has Panarin's goal as PP, they refuse to believe it.

Islanders two goals were a pinball randomness and a failed wrap where someone was holding Miller's stick for 5 seconds.

I though Kreider-Zib-Roslovic were good as was Kakko-Wennberg-Cuylle. Their fatal flaw was not scoring this game. Zibanejad was extremely effective today IMO.

Jones should be in over Gus. He's the superior player right now. Game 1 it was Gus, but when you get to Game 83, it's not about who was in there first.

I'm guessing you play Igor the last game unless Carolina loses tomorrow (highly unlikely). He looks ready for the postseason though.

Detroit blew their opportunity. even though they got a point they gave 2 to Pittsburgh their direct rival. We gave a point to NYI so, Detroit is likely to miss.

Drury cheaping out to go with Roslovic is blowing up in his face right now

He f***in stinks
I heard somewhere that Drury had a deal 99% done for another guy that fell thru at the last second. He then had to pivot to Ros. Obviously not Drury's first choice.

They didn't in any statistical measure. Sometimes a team gets a bunch of breaks. Sometimes they don't. Islanders got 5 power plays and 1 penalty shot. We tied them in shots and outscored them on those chances. Islanders had two breaks go in. It happens.

It goes to show what happens when you get sheltered minutes for under 6 min a game.

He did well in his limited time though I'll give him that.
12 minutes but sure. He got under 6. Just make things up to criticize the team you....like. With your pro Rangers name, What are you even doing here?

Trouba played a team low at five on five, continue that. He got a bunch of Pk time, which is fine, he can clutch and grab on the PK, they aren’t going to call that as @Machinehead has said.
There was a play with 5 minutes left in the 3rd at center ice. The Isle guy going real, real slow, stepped to his left. Trouba couldn't move right to play him. I'm convinced when the season is done, Trouba will have surgery and be out for the start of next season, maybe his hip.

NHL.com said PPG at first. Did it come as the PP expired?
The rangers only had the PP in the first so no.

He’s always had poor lateral mobility, that’s why he gives up such huge gaps. He’s not injured he’s just a bad skater.
