When you go down the spaghetti aisle, have you ever seen the red sauce labeled gravey?

Even the Meat sauce is labeled sauce, not gravey.

Since time began, even you at some point called it sauce.

If it has or had cereal in it, its soup. But this isnt the same case as gravy/sauce, because milk on it's own is a beverage. The same cant be said for sauce.

Of course not. Cereal is made from grains, much like pasta. The liquids of a soup are a medium to store the ingredients of a soup, not a vehicle on it's own, like milk would be.
