Okay - on one hand...

regardless of our states - we're generally good vs. each other.

on the other hand

we can't score.

but then really, neither can the Habs

but then we're honouring Dave Keon, Horton and Brouda.
and....we all know what happened the last time we honoured a Leaf Legend when the Habs were in town

And we're like the ultimate slumpbusters...

This is going to be one ...interesting game.

Habs fan coming in peace.

It will probably be the only time in my life that I'll ask for this, but...

Could you please stomp us?

5-0 seems pretty ok.

k, thanks.

Will be interesting to see how the team responds to Babs comments from the other night.

Too close to Ottawa and Montreal
I fear what to me is the worst case scenario another Carolina dullfest with two tight teams checking the bejeepers out of each other. Ending in a OT or shootout loss. Gaining yet another empty 1 point. Having said that I'm still hoping for a 7-5 thriller or especially a 5 goal Leaf victory.

Montreal Canadiens at Toronto Maple Leafs: Saturday game preview

The Canadiens have averaged just 1.86 goals while losing 17 of their last 21 games.

By: Kevin McGran Sports Reporter, Published on Fri Jan 22 2016

Canadiens at Maple Leafs

Air Canada Centre

Puck drop: 7 p.m.

TV: CBC

Radio: Sportsnet 590 The Fan

Key matchup:Michel Therrien. vs Mike Babcock. Therrien comes to town on the hot seat, his Canadiens having dropped from first place in the Atlantic to out of a playoff spot. He has a 148-84-27 record behind the Habs bench. Babcock’s job is secure, in the first year of an eight-year deal with a team that isn’t expected to be in the playoffs.

Need to know: Montreal has won both previous games against the Leafs this season, their first and last games of their nine-game winning streak . . . Defencemen P.K. Subban (25:55) and Andrei Markov (22:52) lead the Canadiens in average ice . . . When the Canadiens got off to their 9-0 start this season, they outscored the opposition 35-12 and averaged 3.89 goals per game. In their last 21 games, they have averaged 1.86 goals per game while going 4-16-1 . . . The last time the Habs had a player finish the season in the top 10 in NHL scoring was in 1985-86 . . . C David Desharnais has one goal in 25 games.

Up next: Tuesday, Leafs at Panthers, 7 p.m.

Best to worst possible results in order

1.Leafs win in regulation
2.Habs win in regulation
3.Leafs win in OT
4.Habs win in OT. No joy in that

Please no 3 point game tonight.

Tonight is going to a great night. Seeing Keon honoured...he was my uncle's favourite player when he was a kid. He thinks he was the best Leaf player of all time. Really too bad that he hasn't been celebrated more.

I really hope the team comes out flying tonight, safe to say this will be a very emotional night for all Leaf fans and probably Keon himself. And just maybe we can finally turn the page on everything and celebrate one of the best ( if not the best) Leafs of all time.

Bringing Keon back into the fold really does make it feel like there's been a fundamental change with the Leafs. Maybe this is the final step in exorcising the Ballard demon.

Hopefully. Now we just need to excorcise the remnants of the JFJ/Burke/Nonis demons

Habs are done. Easy pickings. They hit the iceberg back in December and are on their way to the bottom of the Atlantic. A win tonight and we are 6 points behind them with 2 games in hand.

It won't be a 40 minute ceremony. I'd guess puck drop around 7:15.

I can't see the puck dropping before 7:25. These ceremonies tend to last a while. I'd say at least 20 minutes plus 5 minutes for anthem. Especially considering the fact that 3 people are being honoured.

Let's hope not but we shall see.

2 of the 3 honoured won't be there and this isn't raising a number, the real ceremony will be outside.

HOF night is a long one, since they introduce everyone. I don't recall if I've been to one of these statue ceremonies, but can't see this taking that long.

Hard to say.

Neither team is scoring.
The goaltending situation is reversed.

I think we will outplay and outshoot them as usual.
We gave a -.900 goaltender a shut out last game, so despite what we do, we can't finish.

Therrien isn't Peters, nor a Babcock disciple.

Good Luck with the ceremony, Dave
Happy Birthday Leo and Shanny
