as far as the Outlook...the team is settling down exactly to where we saw it before the season started...
It's not good enough to compete for the playoff spot, and it isn't bad enough to get 1st or 2nd draft picks.

Depends on how you view it. Yes, Staal has put forth a better effort than Semin. But that's like saying getting shot once is better than getting shot twice. Either way, you're in a bad situation.

This is the same player that had to defend himself against comments about his questionable effort last year. To which he responded:

Whether people think that or not, I’m out there competing as hard as I can,†Staal said.

We've all seen what Staal can play like when he's competing as hard as he can. Can you honestly say we've seen that this year? Or last year?
