ive been uncannily intune with chiarelli and how he is making his moves recently... of course it always takes two to tangle so when he made the move for iginla as i predicted it didnt end up working and he had to resort to plan B and grab jagr instead

but i think... i finally have the thought processes figured out how boston operates. at least half the time anyhow...

with that said... my spider senses are starting to really tingle that hemsky will become the fallback possition if we dont get alfredsson

i mentioned alfredsson in my lineup proposals going back over a month ago now... so i did foresee that he would be a very likely potential target. the chara/chiarelli connection... the need for a mentor for soderberg... it just made too much sense

but if alfredsson does choose loyalty over a shot at a cup... then hemsky re-emerges as a logical fall back position

edmonton has been shop shop shoping him with no takers so far... so the asking price will be drop... drop... dropping. i think the holdout is edmonton wont want to retain any salary. but ultimately if there is no team willing to take hemsky at full price than edmonton will eventually bite the bullet on the cap hit.

boston can afford to give up more assets if it means getting a first line player at a lower cap hit because to us... cap hit is more important than assets.

we still have to fill horton's hole and we have limited cap room to do it.

i posted earlier a lineup with hemsky here at 3 mill... it works. signing alfreddson to an over 35 deal where his compesation is bonus based also works

hell.. id LOVE getting both hemsky and alfreddson... imagine a right side that has hemsy playing with krecji... eriksson with bergeron and alfredsson with kelly/soderberg...

that would be the deepest 3 lines the nhl has seen in years...

we are lucky lucky little boys and girls to be able to cheer for this team over these past few years...

thank you chiarelli... thank you julien... neely... sweeney... jacobs... all you decesion makers... thank you all

Move Kelly and roll 3 scoring lines (Fraser gets first shot at that RW1 job, if he doesn't impress, hopefully Knight or Smith can)

If Alfie stays in Ottawa, backup option would probably be (sigh)....Brad Boyes

Make a move at the deadline if you need more of an impact player up front (or on D perhaps as well)

We have an insane amount of L shooting forwards.

I believe this deal is so good on so many areas- but isn't Eriksson a LW entire career. The guys going and coming blow my mind. Chiarelli did quite the move

I believe he took Jagrs spot on Benns RW this season and played on the Sedins RW during the olympics and this years WC.
Edit: There's probably more examples. He can play both sides

I don't care who the new RW is as long as he's a RH shot. Iginla, Ryder, Alfie in that order. I want more speed...that's why Alfie is last on my list

We're not getting Glencross. I think Alfredsson's the first choice, but that's a long shot. Anyone have any other suggestions? I still vote Ryder.

I wouldn't count out Fraser making this team. Watched him alot in junior and with Dallas's farm team. He has a rocket of a shot and just a pure sniper.

Iginla?

With this new found relief in cap space, the Bruins have options...

One of them could be Jarome Iginla..

Would he be welcome here? If you can't beat em, join em?

Lucic Krecji Iginla
Marchand Bergeron Louie
Soda Kelly __________

Having 4 D set in Chara, Seids, Boychuck, McQuaid, and having Hamilton, Krug, Bartski, and Morrow all knocking on the door is a GREAT place to be.

:yo::yo: I say yes go for Iginla.

Current Lineup (15 players with Stanley cup experience)....(Everyone with playoff experience)

Gonna be a huge battle for 3rd line

And even krug and McQuaid aren't guaranteed that bottom pairing

Can't wait to see who.chia picks up to play with krejci

Can't wait to see Kelly drag down that third line again. That third line needs a play maker, time for Spooner to step up.

My guesses right meow?

Lucic-Krejci-UFA
[The B's want Alfredsson, may not get him, wouldn't be surprised to see a guy like Clowe here either, but Clarkson is a possibility and even Jagr]

Marchand-Bergeron-Eriksson
[Good luck scoring on that line, and try to stop them from scoring]

Kelly-Soderberg-youth movement player
[Jared Knight has the inside track on that spot right now IMO, but I think that it'll be a young guy mainly because we need to start phasing in these young guys and we need a guy on a short-money contract]
