I bet the third line will be up for grabs by the kids, Smith might end up there. I don't know which line Eriksson would play on although with his defensive skills, you might want to keep him away from Bergeron to make sure the 1st line is much better defensively. As for the second line, I'm going to say Chiarelli convinces Alfredsson to join Boston this year. :yo:

if alfredsson isnt going to get sweet talked into joining the team then we pull the trigger on a deal for ales hemsky surrendering something like a second round pick and one of our b level foward prospects that might add a little grit to edmonton's bottom 6. Hemsky isnt going to get much more than that and he will be getting moved... so bring him in to play with krecji.. let eriksson form the very best 2 way line in hockey with bergeron... and then hope for the best that the third line works out for us

i think the first and second lines are as good/better after these moves... the defense remains almost unchanged... i think we are easily one of the top 3 favorites to win the cup and we do have caproom/prospects to load up at the deadline in case the third line doesnt come around

Playing on the top pair =/= being the 2nd best defenseman

Chara and Seidenberg never play together in the regular season, and Dougie played with Chara most of the early part of last year too. It's kind of an on-the-job training, Chara makes the kids look better and covers for their mistakes as they learn the NHL game.

As for the lines, I'd put Eriksson with Marshmont and Bergeron, then hope to land an Alfredsson or other free agent (maybe Iginla even though I hate his guts) for the top line. For line 3, I wouldn't be opposed to bringing back Ryder if he's cheap.

Iginla?

With this new found relief in cap space, the Bruins have options...

One of them could be Jarome Iginla..

Would he be welcome here? If you can't beat em, join em?

Lucic Krecji Iginla
Marchand Bergeron Louie

Having 4 D set in Chara, Seids, Boychuck, McQuaid, and having Hamilton, Krug, Bartski, and Morrow all knocking on the door is a GREAT place to be.

I cant think of who's going to play on Krejci line on the right side. I'd love Alfy to play on our 3rd line, but I don't think he's a 1st liner.

Chia said he wants a shooter on the krejci line. Eriksson will be amazing with Bergeron, claude is already having wet dreams.

I wouldnt mind Iginla, Alfie looks to be target.

Only question i have is:Are they done, or will trade a defenseman?
