That's another angle we haven't been paying a whole lot of attention to.

We're all mostly worried about whether the Habs are in and what the cost might be if we are.

But then, if we're not in it -- what if another team in our Division lands him?

Taking a step back and reflecting a bit, I feel some of us are getting carried away in this trade rumor craze. Dubois is a great player, don’t get me wrong, I really like what he brings to the table, but reading the desperation some seem to feel about getting him, you’d believe he’s a franchise changing player and I strongly disagree with that. For the right price, yes let’s go, but there’s no way I would gut the franchise for him. The ideal scenario for us would have been a good young player + futures which is impossible because of CLB demands and our cap structure. Yeah Danault, I know, but please, be realistic, there’s no way he’s a certerpiece for a Dubois deal. We won’t get him and guess what, it’s really no big deal.
