Thats what they have been doing most of the year and why they are in the position they are. I thought it was pretty obvious. As far as practicing 3 on 3's, how can you really practice for that. They do plenty of puck possesion drills, 2 on 1's, 3 on2's, etc, during regular practice. How do you practice selling out for a goal, the goalie makes a save, kicks out the rebound and a 2 on 0 goes the other way. OT is too hap hazard to reliably practice it. You rely on the skill and awareness the guys have and go from there. Sure you can run set plays, but after a shot or turnover, things change pretty quick.
You asked how you practice for that and my first thought was because we lack enough skill guys and so many we have are hurt ;(
