I heard Subban interviewed about the buttcheck once and he said that one advantage is that it saves the shoulders from injury...

That's why Blake hit the way he did. I doubt I'll ever find the interview but he talked about how he got a shoulder injury early on and it led to his hitting style.

It's a smart way to hit. Your legs are your strongest body part skating and your butt has the most cushion. It's also a low-risk hit in terms of a penalty call or hit up high.

Yeah, I always considered it a size thing. If Burns checked with his shoulder, it might make some head contact.

wow it's funny that Marchand even got that far without getting laid out. Absolutely begging to be hit.
Burns is best when he is physical,and Hertl and Burns is just the most unique winger combo ever. We need the kid!
