Haha -- from his days here in Montreal I can relate. Had to chime in 'cause I like the thread. Another one from Bob Gainey's own mouth about Theodore at one point when he was with the Habs: "One great year, one bad year, one so-so year."

This he said, in fact, at the press conference after awarding him another hat trick:

Year 1. 5 million.
Year 2. 5.5m
Year 3. 6m

(As far as I remember, at least, that's how it broke down.)

Forgive me for the sterotype in humor Frenchy, but he was speaking your language for those 4 seconds. I'm sure he followed those f-bombs up with a "Please excuse my French" comment to anyone who questioned him about it.

I always liked Deader too, damn shame that he was:
1. Traded
2. Forced to retire from injuries.
I was happier watching him play in "other" games than I am watching "other" games without him playing.

But as the wise Curtis once told Jake, Elwood and Coach Q, "Boys, you gotta learn not to talk to nuns that way."
