They will now claim two games never made any difference and they always intended to sell, but whatever, let's do this thing.

They were already talking to LA about Garland, and that was before the Calgary game. If they were open to sending a top-six forward to a divisional rival that we're chasing, it pretty much means they had already planned to punt this season.

Apparently LA sees Garland like Arvidsson and won’t pay a 1st for him

Canucks have the leverage. They don't have to move on anyone, besides Motte.

Let the clock tick down to 230pm and watch the desperation set it.

Nothing substantial has happened in the Metropolitan.

Leafs still need a goalie.

Bruins need offense.

Blues probably taking a few kicks the next 2-3 years.

I doubt calgary is done either. With Gaudreau’s pending UFA status, I don’t think it would be the worst idea for them to go all in.

So yeah, still plenty of buyers there..
If either of the Avs for the Flames want to come out of the West, they should be moving hard for JT Miller. That's a huge upgrade to your depth anywhere in your top six, PP and PK. I don't think the Flames are as significant a threat after this year, so they need to consider how to play this.

The East is going to have to pass through a meat grinder in order to get to the final, so in some respects, whoever comes from the West may have an advantage.
