Olaf Kölzig was sent down on contiditioning stint on Feb. 17. 1996 and called bacc up on Feb 26. by Washington
Capitals.

For that time period Ron Tugnutt was Jim Careys backup. That would be 9th team in which Tugnutt dressed. Kind of interesting that he was starting goalie in NHL before and after this third stringer stint.

I noticed in another thread that a newspaper clipping said that when Michel Dion quit on the Nordiques in 1980-81 (games was on Dec. 12, 1980 at home against the Bruins), Quebec called up a goaltender named Mark Young for the next game in Boston which took place the next day.

Curiously, the NHL page lists Vachon backing up Craig for Boston that night (December 11), but does not list a backup to Plasse for Quebec.

I don't currently have access to the media site, so I can't confirm (possible he's mis-listed as a skater).
