My game puck goes to Charlie Lindgren for keeping them in the game at the beginning, and ending with another shutout.

Honorable mentions to the old guys: TJ Oshie, Alex Ovechkin, and John Carlson. Also Dylan Strome.

2nd full game in a row for me. Starting time helped. Interesting end of the seasons is coming :)
Wonderful 3rd period.

Ovi

Big game against Detroit. Need to W in regulation.

If nothing else this run to the 16th-17th draft pick is creating lots of Ovi goals and ultimately that's what we're all here for this next couple years.
f*** the #1 pick if its just gonna be rigged for a team like the hawks anyway

The lottery system for nhl and nba is so dumb, just do it like the nfl does

Much has been made about the Caps tough schedule going forward but this narrative ignores the Red Wings also difficult schedule. Seems like a wash to me.

Tues: Wings @ Caps
March 28: Caps @ Leafs; Wing @ Canes
March 30: Bruins @ Caps; Wings @ Panthers
April 1: Wings @ Bolts
April 2: Caps @ Sabres
April 4: Penguins @ Caps
April 5: Caps @ Canes; Rangers @ Wings
April 7: Sens @ Caps; Sabres @ Wings
April 9: Caps @ Wings
April 11: Caps @ Sabres; Wings @ Pens
April 13: Bolts @ Caps; Wings @ at Leafs
April 15: Bruins @ Caps; Habs @ Wings
April 16: Caps @ Flyers; Wings @ Habs

Wings have Cane's, Cats, Bolts and Rags in their next four games. I think the two games between each other will settle it. If either team can gain 3 pts or 4 on the other, they're going to the playoffs. A differential of 2 or fewer pts will be a nail biter.

🔑 #1: When in doubt, skate it out

❌

They could have avoided the safe play a bit more. Fewer short passes and dump-outs, and more end-to-end rushes next game.

🔑 #2: Continue taking advantage of Tom Wilson's absence

✅

Solid defensive effort and timely scoring. They need to continue getting wins while the anchor is temporarily removed.

🔑 #3: Keep short shifts to a minimum

✅

They did a good job getting hemmed in their zone and having extended shifts. The rope-a-dope strategy always works!

Theory and studies only have meaning if they can be put into action and yield tangible results. Hopefully I have adequately demonstrated to the reader the fruits of my academic endeavors in the science of keymaking.

It is with a great sense of duty and patriotism that I submit to you my 🔑🔑🔑 to the game:

🔑 #1: When in doubt, skate it out

🔑 #2: Continue taking advantage of Tom Wilson's absence

🔑 #3: Keep short shifts to a minimum
#4: Twabby will always hate Tom Wilson!

So weird to be in the middle of a playoff race and be obsessing over what draft pick we're getting.
Agreed. It’s so nice to be close to April and still playing games that matter, watching other teams and rooting for losses. Maybe we don’t get in the playoffs but at least we get a taste of playoff hockey.
