The problem with Philly is that no stars want to come here (we make them up like Harris)..we squandered Butler and now look at him. While people were annoyed at Hinkie when he said he would keep trying to accumulate assets (so he could hit on a potential star) and basically parlay/ship out players who he didn't think would reach their full potential or he considered flawed like MCW....his thinking was ultimately correct although not ideal for continuity and for impatient fans,the coach and greedy ownership. While we got Embiid and Simmons due to the tank....they are second tier stars right now. Pisses me off that teams like the Lakers and Heat were able to constitute contenders in such short order but in LA's case they can draw in stars like LeBron. Even the Nets have star appeal. Will be interesting to see how they play with Durant...
