Do teams want him to play or just arrange escorts on the road?

Or DJ at parties?
God, that car commercial he does on the radio is one of the worst things I've ever listened to. "My name is Michael Del Zotto and I'm just a good hockey player. It's not like I was voted as one of the top bachelors in Canada or DJ in my spare time. I'm a pretty humble guy." What a tool.

Man, Benning has hit home run after home run in free agency hasn't he?

Loui Eriksson
Sam Gagner
MDZ
Antoine Roussel
Jay Beagle
Tim Schaller

Like, it's hilariously bad. How many millions did he give out for, quite literally, net negative returns (AHLers on league min deals would provide as much).

Gagner hasn't been terrible for us, I don't know why he's in the minors to be honest. Poor asset management to be sure, but he must have made a pass at someones wife or sister or something. He also had a following from other teams when he was waived. So...no negative value per se?

Roussel and Beagle have had a noticeable improvement to our bottom six, despite being overpaid. No negative value yet.

Eriksson imploded on us, brutal. Consistent 20-30 goal guy before getting here and refusing to skate. Negative value, although still somehow positive on ice contribution.

MDZ was not needed, and Schaller too. Both overpaid, both had little impact on the team and one is now apparently garnering interest from other teams. Schaller is junk but no one would pay to remove him.

That being said, teams are interested in Del Zaster? What the hell?

Every year mediocre depth defencemen get traded for mid-round picks so maybe this year we’ll be the lucky recipient for once.
Personally,I’d be happy with a 5th or 6th,anything better is gravy.

at max retention, MDZ is an experienced defensemen that can fill in.

As the old saying goes, you can never have enough defensemen in the playoffs.

What happened to this guy?

37 points as a 19YO.

Maybe he was never a defensive stalwart, but he doesn't even score anymore.

MDZ and Gagner were both big parts of the Flyers team that made the playoffs in 15-16, but before they have even turned 30 years old they are struggling to get in NHL games. It's a tough sport, but at least they both got one last pay day from Benning.

Loui Eriksson: Bad signing: Didn't think he was a fit when he was signed due to age. Hopefully a cap floor team wants him after July 1st (9mill for 3years in actual dollars -- cap hit 6mill/year).

Sam Gagner: Bad signing. Didn't think he was a fit due to style of play, as I felt he was sheltered in Columbus in a way that he wouldn't be in Vancouver. Hopefully a team wants him, or he can stay in the AHL

MDZ: Bad signing, but if the Canucks get a pick or prospect by the TDL, then that's a win.

Antoine Roussel, Jay Beagle, Tim Schaller: didn't mind the signings, but Brandon Sutter should get dealt soon to make room for Adam Gaudette.

Also, to be fair to Jim Benning, the Ryan Miller signing was a good one; and Radim Vrbata had that one very good year, followed by an average one.

So many hitz tho!
Lol i wonder if theres a Schmuck GM that would give up assets for MDZ.

Deptg dman.. decent at shot blocking and hits.. terrible at everything else.

Apparently very good in the dressing room as a character and leader.

A 7th rnd pick return would be a win for the Canucks

I think the Oilers could pry him away from the Nucks for a 3rd.

Maybe those interested just wanted some shares of mdz and got confused with Michael Del Zotto?

You think Megna and Chaput are the same level as those players you listed? If Yes, show me evidences to prove that?
